Hello everyone. Ruma Kereru have been very busy over the past few weeks. We have been getting to know each other and connect with old friends and making new ones. The photos show all the fun things we have been doing with our new learning. There is swimming, creating, building positive relationships, making playdough and ice cream. And the list goes on. We enjoy reading to the class just like Mrs Harris does. There is never a dull moments in Ruma Kereru.
Developing good relationships in the class is very important in Ruma Kereru. Soe of us made play dough, Did jigsaws and build big “Huge” towers and lots of other things, all with our friends.
Helping put the new sand in the Sandpit.
In the afternoons, we get to have a swim in the school pool. We have lots of fun.
Mr Bertrand read “The Rainbow Fish” to us. Then we created our own rainbow fish. You can see them all hanging in the school office.
In Ruma Kereru, we enjoy reading to the whole class just like Mrs Harris does.
We collected some data about which ice creams were our favourite. Goody Gumdrops was the most popular. Mr Bertrand helped us make our own ice cream (really easy), it was YUM!
Whaea Val read, “The Gruffalo,” book to us this week. We drew our own Gruffalo, named him and used describing words about our Gruffalo.
