Friendship Talk

On Monday the 4th of April, year 5-8 students at Kaimai school were really lucky to have Robbie from Attitude come to our school and talk to us about friendship. He had an awesome sense of humour and had the kids (and teachers) laughing at all of his jokes. We learnt how important it is to tell a trusted adult if you feel you are being excluded or bullied. We also learnt that being a good friend takes practise, and we need to work on friendship skills at every opportunity to make sure we are being the best friends we can be. Friendship skills include active listening, using a calm tone of voice, and looking after each others’ feelings.
